Get ready for hot summer parties with this month’s bowl (each month a different bowl will be offered). Using the beautiful colors of yellow in fusible glass, you will create a one-of-a-kind bowl that you can give use to decorate your home. In this 3-hour intensive workshop, you will learn the basics of cutting small pieces of fusible glass, incorporating them into a design for a 6” round or square bowl. You will receive supplies to help you in the design process and once your creation is complete, it will be fired two times so that the end result is a beautiful piece of art. Your bowl will be ready for pick up a week after your class. Workshop is Thursday, July 3 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.  Artist Stephanie O'Neill will be your instructor.

Cost is $30.00 plus a $15 materials fee. Sign up can be done on the website, by phone (630.393.2529) or by visiting ClaySpace. Space is limited so enroll today! Ages 15 plus

A New Connection and Now a Sister Studio

Yesterday Brett Stone from claypool Ceramic Studios in Sydney, Australia, stopped by. He is staying with a friend in Chicago and a Google search lead him to us. It was our similar missions that made him want to visit. During our time together, the list of similarities became almost spooky. Here are just a few --formed through a college connection, price charged the same, and they have to move because their building is being torn down. When a "sister studio" relationship was suggested, Brett jumped at the offer. Hopefully a "road trip" to visit claypool will happen in the near future.
