ClaySpace Ceramic Arts Center invites you to apply to participate in a compelling event to generate awareness of veteran suicide. Artists are asked to create memorials of 22 objects that you feel represents the 22 lives lost every day. This exhibition was inspired by and is being conducted in collaboration with the “8030 Project.”  Photographs and artist statements of accepted work will also be included in the “8030 Project.

Deadline for entry is April 15, 2015.

Mad About Plaid Workshop


Don't miss our "Mad About Plaid Workshop"
You'll go mad for your plaid! Learn how fun and easy fusing glass can be. The basics of using glass tools to cut different types of glass, arranging it to create a pattern that will be fired in a kiln will be covered. You will make a 6" by 6" piece of glass with pattern, color, and dimension. Your plaid glass will then be slumped to create a functional vessel or a piece that can be displayed in a stand or frame. Your creation can be picked up 7 to 10 days after the class. For adults and high school students. 
Cost is $30 plus $20 for materials and happens this Saturday, February 21, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm with "fun and acknowledgeable" instructor Irene Boutzarelos.
